Trust
We should trust God no matter what the outward appearances are. If you remember the story of Abraham then you see the contradiction he was put in. He was told to sacrifice Isaac yet all of God's promises to Abraham lay in the son Isaac. This must have been quite confusing to a man who had waited years for this son and now he was being told he must sacrifice him. It must have grieved him so yet he trusted God and knew that whatever the outcome that God knew best. He obeyed God to the end. God tests us all to prove our faith. Faith is trusting God to provide even when we cannot see how he can. With true faith we hold nothing back from God. He provides what we need when we need it and intervenes at the right time. "Now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me" (Genesis 22:12).

God I Wonder

As I walk around the path I see flowers that have busted out and filled themselves with color and I wonder.
I see tree swaying in the wind blowing as if they are paying homage to God and I wonder.
I hear the birds and their songs reach into the heavens like a choir of angels and I wonder.
I see the clouds white and fluffy rolling across the bright blue sky and I wonder.
I hear the water rippling along over the rocks and the music they make soothes my nerves but still I wonder.
I see the crystal beauty of the water and the white bubbles that rise as they pass over the rocks and still I wonder.
The meow of cat, the bark of a dog, the smell of honey suckle, the grass between my toes, and still I wonder.
How God could love me so much he gave me all this to hear, feel, see and do I deserve it still I wonder.

Salvation
Conformormity to the will of God. Through miraculous resurrection and immortality of the soul. Salvation beyond death is a state of the most intimate union with God and with each distinct personality being preserved. Man in his own power cannot fulfill perfectly the conditions of salvation.
The primordial fall or orginal sin caused man to become perverted with pride and self-love. God's final purpose is salvation of all mankind because he is a loving and merciful God. Men that repent is offered grace.
Without Jesus of Nazareth the mediator or giver of grace this would not be possible. God loved the world so much he incarnated into human form to suffer the pains and burdens of mankind.

INTERNAL SOURCES
We have grown accustomed to letting our external wants determine our internal needs. Yet if we learned anything in life it's that our internal needs should control our external wants. True happiness comes when we begin to realize that processions are useless in our happiness and only brings the need for more. We are happier when our basic needs are met. When you are hungry food is the only important thing. When your sad a new car doesn't satisfy the sadness it just delays it. Drugs and alcohol doesn't make your problems go away it just accumulates more problems. No wonder people try to commit suicide they have taken on more than they can carry and crash under the weight of it. They have let external things become more important than the internal needs. They are searching for a possession that bring peace in their life yet hidden inside of them is the only true peace and it has been hidden from them by the deception that it is somewhere external in life.

IN SEARCH OF THE TRUE CHURCH

We paused in our life when we took on six of our grandchildren and discussed our situation because we felt that we had failed our son's in some way. We thought about our lives as children ourselves and came to realize that our fondest memories were of church and family meals. We discussed how those values followed us into adulthood and formed who we are today. We felt that if we had installed those values in our sons maybe they would have grown up to a better future. We decided to go on a hunt for a church that would install those values in our children. Since our children would make the final decision on which church we would attend, we decided to try several churches and vote on one. If the children did not like a church we knew that whatever the message it would carry no impact.
Our list was made and we began our search. After several visits the vote was tallied. Our children voted on a Pentecostal church where they had the freedom to worship with flags and dance. It started out great. Our children loved the church and we loved the worship. The years we attend we watched many changes. What we closed our eyes to was the growing condemnation that was growing in our small congregation.
It wasn't until our children became the target of the condemnation did we open our eyes. The old verse Jesus spoke of about those who keep the children from coming to him, rang out in our minds, as we began a new church.
We decided to start again on our search for a church again. We chose several churches to try. Our first church was Baptist. When we entered into the church we were tense and nervous. What was apparent was our children was right at home. They felt as though they had always belonged there. This church was so different, yet the love was apparent. Everyone was so nice and refreshing. We felt no condemnation and we adjusted to the new routine very smoothly. The seal was when the Pastor's wife approached us and told us she prayed for more children and we walked in with eight. She was so amazed at how God had answered her prayer with just one family. We were amazed at how this church supports and cares for their children. The children voted that day not to try anymore churches that this was the one God had chosen for them.
Pondering all the events in our life and asking why, the answer is that if all the other events had not of taken place, would our eyes be open to the truth. There is only one true church and it is based on love. If love is not there then we are following the wrong path. If a man says he loves his bother and yet condemns him, then he does not love him. A true man of Christ would carry his friend to the cross, if a man cannot make it there on his own.
