Joyful Outlook In Life

The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Man's Condition

What is man's condition?

1.  His understanding is darkened. 

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Ephesians 4:18

2. He is born into sin.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
 Psalm 51:5

The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
    Psalm 58:3 

Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not, yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherouslt, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
 Isaiah 48:8

3.  His heart is full of evil.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperate wicked: who can know it?
  Jeremiah 17:9

4.  He is spiritually dead.

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sin;
 Ephesians 2:1

Can man change his condition?

1.  Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spot? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
Jeremiah 13:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
 Romans 6:23

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall be no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is knowledge of sin.

Hope In The Lord and Jesus Christ

Put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
Psalm 130:7

The Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Isaiah 30:18

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him; it is good to wait quietly for salvation of the Lord.
